Needless to say, southern France is wine country.
We left Orange early Sunday morning to get to Martin's parents' place in the Alps. We saw more than one "wine truck" on the road that morning.
The way houses are made in this region is disctinct from the way houses are made in other parts of France, reminding me of small villages in Portugal. The vegetation is also very different, mostly shorter and more sparse. You can travel for many hours in across Canada and hardly see any change whereas only a couple of hours on a french road reveal distinct changes in vegetation and overall scenery.
